Sonworthy Apparel is a place to get free from the lies of shame, guilt, condemnation, and unworthiness that distance our hearts from God. We want people to become so captivated with Jesus until the revelation of who He is and what He thinks about you frees you from every lie you've ever believed about God and yourself.
OUR IDENTITY
Being Sonworthy means we no longer identify ourselves by the idea of us as unworthy sinners saved by grace. Many believers say things like, "I just don't know why Jesus would die for someone like me," or "none of us deserve God's love". While it sounds pious and humble, this greatly discounts what God has said about us in His Word.
Our value is directly linked to the One in whose image we have been created. Jesus is not coming to give value to something that has none. He's coming because He refuses to allow His image to be tainted any longer by the power of sin and death. His image is worthy of saving because it is HIS IMAGE, and HE IS WORTHY. God thought you were worth shedding His blood for. Being Sonworthy means you no longer identify as unworthy, but Sonworthy.
SONSHIP
Being a Son of God has nothing to do with gender. It has everything to do with you being resurrected into the image of Christ Jesus Himself. John 1:12 states that to those who received Him and believed in His name, He gave the right to become the Sons of God.
Whether male or female, we are the Bride of Christ collectively, and we've all been invited into Sonship as heirs of God and heirs alongside Christ. He is worthy, and we have been made worthy by sharing His Divine Nature.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
I was raised by a single mom, without my father in my life, which created a deep void and a broken identity. Longing for love and acceptance, I thought if my father didn't want me, maybe I was worthless. But when I was around 16, encountering Jesus changed everything.
As a new believer, I was motivated by fear of Hell and judgment which made me super judgmental. I only knew God as Lord and Judge, but He took me on a long journey of getting to know Him as Father.
Sonworthy was born from this exact deliverance — from shame, broken identity, and the lie that God is an angry judge waiting for us to fail. The Father revealed something different: He never loved us for what we did; He loved us because we are His children.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Jesus offers us a better identity as Beloved Sons. Sonship is not a merit to be earned; it's an inheritance to be received. Before we change what we do, God transforms our thinking to conform to the reality of what He has done to us in Christ. Jesus' life is manifested from the inside out.
In Christ, we are no longer spiritual orphans hoping that a distant Father will receive or acknowledge us. We are sons and daughters who belong. Where the truth of who we are in Christ is revealed by the Spirit of God, shame loses its power.
Sonworthy is for those who want to Behold and Unfold the Son of God in every area of life. At the gym, on the streets, in family — it is no longer us showing up in the world, but Christ in us.
WHO WE'RE FOR
For those kicked around by religious tradition long enough to realize that vain ritual and rules on rocks can change behavior, but only radical encounters with a Loving Father can change the affections of the heart.
For those who feel rejected and distant from a world that only seeks to take from them, but want to find acceptance and perfect peace in the arms of the Father.
For those who want to be fathered all over again by Yahweh, and those ready to go beyond just being Christians to actually becoming embodiments of Christ in all of their relationships.
For the worshiper whose private time with the Father shows up in how they love their family, friends, neighbors, and the cashier at the store. For the evangelist who wants to become the message, not just preach one. For the Gym-Rat who wants to train people in more than just physical wellbeing.
OUR DECLARATION
Sonworthy is more than clothing. It's a declaration that we are not defined by our past, our pain, or our performance. We are defined by the love of the Father, the finished work of the Son, and the transformation of the Holy Spirit.
